Sharing a VisionBy Theresa Garrard
Have you noticed brightly colored T-shirts around town lately sporting "J.E.L.-O"? They are promoting J.E.L.-O's newest "flavor", called "Vision". The Bible teaches us that we should have a vision and the importance of visions is shared throughout God’s Word.
The Sandersville First Church of the Nazarene is raising money to fund a Christian Life Center in honor of Pastor Emeritus, Dr. J. Emory Lindsey and his lovely wife, Mrs. Doris Lindsey. Dr. J. Emory Lindsey has long had a vision of building a multi-purpose Christian Life Center where the Church can minister to its members and to the people in our community. Catching Dr. Lindsey's vision with renewed passion is his niece, Denise Haywood Parker. Parker, and her fundraising committee, has formed J. Emory Lindsey Outreach, hince the J.E.L.-O initials, and are actively sponsoring events that will help fulfill not only Dr. Lindsey's vision, but now the vision of the church’s congregation.
Watch for more information about J.E.L.-O activities and opportunities to participate. An account has been set up at Citizen’s Bank of Washington County called, J.E.L.-O Fund, should you like to participate through monetary donations. Senior Pastor James T. Dunn, would like to extend a welcome for you to visit the Sandersville First Church of the Nazarene at 619 S. Harris St. For more information about the Church’s activities see www.sandnaz.com, and for a sneak preview of Providence Road visit www.providenceroadmusic.com.
